Harvey
Enterprise generative AI built for law firms and in-house legal teams.
San Francisco, California · Founded 2022 · Harvey AI Corporation (Counsel AI Corporation)
- What it does
- A platform where purpose-built agents execute legal work end to end: the user describes the need, the system plans the work and returns cited results. Vault stores, organises and bulk-analyses document sets. Knowledge researches legal, regulatory and tax questions against more than 500 regional knowledge sources, including LexisNexis where the workspace has that add-on. Workflows run pre-built or firm-custom sequences. Spaces are shared workspaces with ethical walls for clients and outside counsel. Contract Intelligence handles review and negotiation, and Command Center reports on organisational usage. It is not a practice-management system and does not write back into Clio, intake, or a demand desk. Cited outputs are first drafts a lawyer still reviews.
- Fit
- Large firms and enterprise in-house departments with procurement processes, document-heavy transactional, litigation and compliance work, and enough seats for firm-wide rollout and usage analytics to matter.
- Not a fit
- Nothing addresses plaintiff-side contingency practice, case intake, lead conversion, medical records or small-firm practice management. Enterprise security framing and a demo-only funnel mean solos are not the buyer.
- Audience / pricing
- Large law and in-house legal teams. Enterprise (confirm with vendor).
