Casepoint
Cloud e-discovery, legal hold, and FOIA review for US government and enterprise teams.
Washington, District of Columbia · Founded 2008
- What it does
- Casepoint is a cloud e-discovery system of record. Legal hold and in-place preservation, collection, processing, AI-assisted review, and production sit on one corpus instead of a handoff chain between tools. Government agencies also run FOIA and public-records request workflows on that same platform; corporate legal and investigations teams use it for litigation and compliance. CaseAssist Active Learning ranks unreviewed documents from reviewer coding; Casepoint AI and the vendor MCP server connect approved organization models to the corpus under existing permissions. The security wedge is vendor-stated FedRAMP High plus DOD IL5 and IL6 — built for CUI and agency work, not a generic SaaS review tool. It is not a practice-management system, not a PI demand engine, and not a self-serve small-firm app with published per-GB pricing.
- Fit
- US federal, defense, and civilian legal teams with FOIA or CUI e-discovery, plus corporate legal and compliance shops that need FedRAMP or IL5-class hosting from hold through production.
- Not a fit
- Owner-led PI, general-practice AI, or occasional small-matter review. Skip it if you need Clio or Filevine write-back, Word contract review, or a public per-GB price list. Not GRC or forensics software.
- Audience / pricing
- Government FOIA/legal teams and corporate e-discovery / investigations desks. Vendor-quoted, tailored by product (confirm with Casepoint).
