- What it does
- DISCO is cloud e-discovery and litigation software for law firms and corporate legal teams. You ingest ESI into a hosted matter database, then search, review, produce, and run legal holds against that corpus — not against Westlaw, Lexis, or a practice-management system. Cecilia Q&A answers fact questions with citations into the database (Quick thinking or Advanced Research); single-doc Q&A and summaries run in the viewer, but only on Active Review, not ECA. Auto Review first-pass tags from plain-English tag descriptions, with Tag Tuner and a QC step you still own; it is billed per document on top of platform hosting. Hold notifies custodians and preserves in place via Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and HR directories. Request handles subpoenas and law-enforcement intake. Deposition Management and Timelines sit on the same matter. Platform pricing is quote-only per processed GB with Cecilia included (confirm with DISCO). Not Clio write-back, not a published-seat research assistant, and not on-prem Relativity.

- Litigation and investigations teams at mid-size to Am Law firms and corporate legal departments running recurring discovery volume — IP, mass tort, class action, construction, or regulatory — who want lawyer-facing review rather than Relativity-class backend customization, and who already have Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for Hold.
- Not a fit
- Owner-led PI, transactional, intake, or practice-management shops. Skip if your matters stay small: operators report DISCO has no small-case SKU, and quote-only per-GB hosting plus Auto Review per-document fees do not fit occasional tens-of-GB files. Teams that need Relativity App Hub customization or on-prem should look elsewhere. Cecilia is not a published-law research product, single-doc Q&A does not run on ECA, and you still QC Auto Review tags and cites.
